Just a brief announcement. I'll be doing a "flash edit" workshop next Thursday, June 9, at the Writers Weekend in Seattle. See link in sidebar for more info. If you're there, I hope you'll stop by.

And thanks to the folks who responded to the request for critiques of the chapter below. I didn't receive very many, and the ones I did get were verrrry brief, so I'll assume the writing was just so darned slick that few negatives were noticed -- that's more satisfying than assuming the opposite.

I'll be back this weekend with a new edit-type post and hope to resume a more regular schedule of posts thereafter.
