I liked your comparison of grunge collecting in a keyboard to not being able to see your own faults as a writer. I loved Stephen King for hundreds of years, until he began the practice of writing about one character set alone in a solitary setting. (The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon, Buick 8, Misery, and others) Obviously, publishers know he'll bring in the cash, so he is accountable to no one. His last three books have been so dull, or in the case of his series, so long after the first two were written, I can't even remember the characters vividly. Thanks for your note.
